Peter Hedley

Director, Student Affairs and Services @ University of Saskatchewan

Peter has over 15 years’ experience in both the public and private education environments in Europe and North America. He holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Leeds University and a Masters degree in Creative Writing from Brunel University London.

Peter worked at the University of Bedfordshire and at Brunel University London six years as a lecturer before turning to the dark side and becoming an academic and student services administrator. He moved to Canada with his family in 2014 where he worked at Capilano University in Vancouver before joining the University of Saskatchewan in Spring 2016.

In his current role as Director of Student Affairs and Services, he oversees the Student Wellness Centre, Student Affairs and Outreach, and Access and Equity Services as well as leading the University’s Wellness Strategy, mental health and sexual violence prevention work. Peter also chairs the University’s Faith Leaders’ Council, Student of Concern Advisory Team (SOCAT) and Violence Threat Risk-Assessment (VTR-A) teams. He is a member of the University’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Board of Directors.
